RBS is down right now for hundreds of the bank’s customers today who said the firm’s online banking service was not working for them.
Independent website Down Detector started receiving reports that RBS is down around 9am BST today.
Some 62 per cent of customers affected had issues with online banking in general while 25 per cent had trouble accessing the website.
RBS customers have been contacting the @RBS_Help Twitter account asking if the firm’s online banking service is down.
The Twitter account has confirmed RBS is suffering some online banking issues right now.
Replying to one customer, the @RBS_Help Twitter account posted: “ We’re aware of some issues on our Digital Banking service and are working hard to fix them.
“Sorry and thanks for your patience.”

Hundreds of RBS customers have reported the service down
Down Detector has registered hundreds of reports from RBS customers that the online services are down since 9am.
Since this morning RBS customers have been posting on Twitter issues with the bank’s website.One customer tweeted: “@RBS_Help Online banking crashed?”
While another said: @RBS_Help – unable to log in to internet banking. Also nobody is answering the phone. Is there a problem there today?
And one added: “@RBS_Help Is there a problem with your online banking site? Can’t access.”
However, despite these issues the official RBS service status website services “working normally”.
